The perfect place to start! Whether you are completely new to exercise or need a re-introduction, these are the perfect programmes to guide you through the fundamentals of basic movements and how to perform exercises correctly in order to ensure effective progression going forward.

EXPRESS WORKOUTS

Our Express Workout section offers a range of 20 - 30 minute workouts that you get to choose from, giving you the flexibility to make exercise work for you.

FITNESS PROGRAMMES

Our fitness programmes are the equivalent to having a personal trainer in your pocket. Each week is carefully considered to keep you progressing, increase strength and fitness while preventing any plateaus with your training.

Fitness 1.0: Band focussed/12 weeks
Fitness 2.0: Dumbbell focussed/12 weeks

WHAT EQUIPMENT DO I NEED?

In order to be able to complete all of the GLOW workout programmes, aside from our zero-equipment programmes, you will need access to the below equipment. All can easily be purchased online or at most fitness outlets.

FAQ'S

No. We have zero-equipment workout options, as well as a 6 week zero-equipment beginner programme. However, in order to complete all of our workout programmes, you will need access to the above, but not all at once. You could start off with a zero-equipment programme, progressing onto a band focussed programme and then dumbbells. This gradually challenges your muscles and gives you the opportunity to purchase in stages if you’re working out at home.

No. For every dumbbell exercise we offer a band or bodyweight alternative.

It can be tricky to know what weight to pick for exercises, so we always want to you remember this:

1. The exercise should feel challenging, not impossible.
2. You should be able to complete the number of listed reps:
3. WITHOUT compromising your form at any point during the set.

Generally for beginners we would recommend going for a weight set of:

2kg, 4kg & 6kg

This gives you enough room to play and you can always step things up by adding in a few heavier pieces and even redoing the programme with heavier sets once your strength has increased.

However, if buying 3 sets is a bit of a big ask right now, a happy medium would be to go with a 4kg set and use your bands for the the exercises that you require a lighter weight for. This gives you time to assess how much heavier you could go OR how much lighter you should go.

We would recommend one of our 12 week fitness programmes as we believe it takes a minimum of 3 months to effectively prepare your body for pregnancy.

No. While any of our programmes can be completed in the comfort of your own home, it is sometimes great to change up the scenery of your workouts and take them to the gym. Especially if you are doing one of our dumbbell focussed workouts as this affords you the opportunity to play with a wider weight range. We also find that taking your workouts to the gym often can set a stricter intention as we often tend to get distracted at home.
